Students had an incredible day learning about weather, exploring the different parts of an airplane, testing their skills on a flight simulator, and taking part in Mission Control and International Space Station simulation — working together to prevent a disaster as an asteroid was approaching Earth. The mission was successful, but it caused an outage across the DOE network. Who knew “space travel” came with so much space drama!
