On Tuesday, Nov. 29th (Classes 603 and 604) and Wednesday, Nov. 30th (Classes 601 and 602) 6th grade scientists traveled to the Queens Botanical Garden. Thank you to the many parent chaperones who supported us on this trip! Students participated in a workshop called Energy, You Move Me! In this workshop students explored the plant adaptations that make them the base of every food chain. They also used a combination of indoor investigations and outdoor (rainy!) exploration to enhance students’ understanding of various sources of energy and natural biological processes.
